Plant Based Paranoia

Mothership is een rules-light sci-fi horror RPG. Je speelt een allegaartje van misfits die doorheen het heelal het geluk opzoeken. Je kan een marine, scientist, android of teamster spelen, met eigen skills en uitrusting. Het heelal is een ijskoude en levensgevaarlijke plek in Mothership. Er is een reëel gevaar dat je (plots) doodgaat, er schuilen monsters achter elke hoek.

We spelen de pamfletmodule Plant Based Paranoia door skullfungus. Jullie characters zijn de bemanning van een ruimteschip, dat reageert op een noodsignaal van een afgeleven jungleplaneet. Wie weet wat voor mysteries daar schuilen?

Aan het begin van de sessie bepalen we samen waarom jullie samen een bemanning zijn en waarom jullie op dit noodsignaal reageren, om dan de missie zelf aan te vatten. Ik breng pregen personages mee, maar je mag er zelf een maken met de uitstekende Mothership PDF character sheet of de Mothership companion app.

Qua spullen die je best meebrengt, volstaat een basisset van 7 dobbelstenen voor alle rolls, de meeste checks zijn D100. Ik breng zelf voldoende dobbelstenen mee, dus maak je geen zorgen als je geen dobbelstenen hebt. Potlood, gom en papier zijn zeker ook handig.

Bonus: breng een plant (echt of nep) mee, om een gratis luck point te krijgen!

Mothership is a rules-light sci-fi horror RPG, where you play a crew of spacefaring misfits just trying to get a break. In Mothership, space is a cold and dangerous place. The risk of (quite sudden) death is real, and there are monsters around every corner. Your character in the game can be a marine, scientist, android or teamster, with various skills and gear.

We will be playing the pamphlet module Plant Based Paranoia by skullfungus. The player characters are the ragtag crew of a spaceship, investigating a distress signal traced back to a remote jungle planet. Who knows what mysteries await you there?

At the start of the session we'll figure out why you're a crew and why you chose to respond to the distress call, before embarking on the mission proper. Pregens will be available, but you can create your own character with the aid of the excellent Mothership PDF character sheet or the Mothership companion app. You might want to bring an extra character, though, just in case...

In terms of material to bring, a regular 7-dice set will suffice (most checks are D100). I will be bringing plenty of dice, so don't worry if you don't have any. Paper, pencil and eraser are also always a good idea to bring.
